Reformation Month Continues!

HBC Family,

Here's just an update of various items and events for the remainder of October as our celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation continues.

Luther: Life and Legacy Documentary

During the next 3 mid-week gatherings on Wednesday evenings, we will watch 30 minutes of the new documentary on Martin Luther. Those evenings will be October 18, October 25, and November 1 from 6:15-6:45 followed by prayer from 6:45-7:30. (The trailer for the documentaryy is available to view here). Our mid-week meal starts at 5:30 and Heritage Kids and nursery will also be offered from 6:15-7:30.

5 Solas Sermon Series

Our sermon series on the 5 Solas continues this Sunday, October 22, with "Solus Christus" (Christ Alone). Our brother, current deacon, and pastoral candidate (and all-around nice guy), Keith Withrow, will be preaching. Next week, October 29, pastoral candidate (and all-around nice guy), Thad Gunderson, will be concluding the series with a sermon on "Soli Deo Gloria" (the Glory of God Alone) on October 29th

Singing the Biblical Truths of the Reformation!

We are singing two new songs in conjunction with our sermon series. Please take time to listen to the Reformation Hymn and Reformation Song so you can enter in these great new songs on the Lord's Day!

Reformation Book Giveaway

We are giving away a book each week that corresponds to the theme for each week's sermon. Check out this week's giveaway and stay tuned for our final one next week!

Lord's Supper and Reformation Meal

We will be celebrating the Lord's Supper during our morning worship gathering on October 29 and having a Reformation meal afterwards. Make plans to join us for lunch! (NOTE: This meal is one our quarterly "church-provided" meals and is not a potluck).

Two Special "Reformation 500" Services - One On-Site and One Online!

On Sunday evening, October 29, at 5pm, Grace Reformed Baptist Church, our sister church pastored by Sam Waldron, Joe Wilson and Ben Carlson, will be hosting a special Reformation service in our own HCS Chapel. Several local churches will be taking part, including HBC. You are encouraged and most welcome to attend!

On Monday evening, October 30, there is a special service hosted by Ligonier Ministries from 6-9pm. This service will be livestreamed. Speakers include Stephen Nichols, Sinclair Ferguson, Derek Thomas, Burk Parsons and R.C. Sproul. More information is available here
